Virtual Montessori Certified Teacher
Qualifications
A diploma from a MACTE or AMI accredited training centre
A current criminal reference check
Certification in Standard First Aid, including Infant & Child CPR – Level C
Updated immunization record
ECE designation an asset but not requirement
Skills Required

Ability to work effectively as a team member
Excellent written skills
Possesses strong leadership and organizational skills
Job Responsibilities
To plan and implement a Montessori program for children within a warm and nurturing learning environment
To supervise the children at all times, ensuring a safe environment
To maintain a positive and consistent approach towards child management that is compatible with the philosophy of Ministry of Education
To communicate with parents on a daily basis in an open and supportive manner
To assist, supervise and guide students, supply staff and volunteers
To demonstrate sound knowledge of all relevant sections of the Child Care & Early Years Act
To maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times

Virtual Montessori Teachers in the Toddler Room (16 months to 34 months)
Qualifications
Registered Early Childhood Education Diploma (RECE) and be in good standing with the college of ECE’s and/or Montessori Toddler Teaching Diploma (MACTE, AMI)
Experience in a Montessori school setting is an asset
Current negative Criminal Reference Check (VSC)
First Aid and CPR
Current Immunization

Job Responsibilities
Conduct the day-to- day operations of the classroom including, but not limited to: lesson instruction, classroom maintenance, daily recording, diapering, playground supervision, etc.
Maintain a neat, well organized and attractive prepared environment consistent with Montessori pedagogy
Work to develop close and effective relationships with parents
Provide a program that complies with Ministry of Education requirements for licensed
programming while incorporating Montessori Pedagogy
